Faint Not!

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Galatians 6:9

We have heard every man has his price, and to some extent this may be true. However, I have met those who have the God-given anointing to resist selling out. But “weary”, now that’s a different dog. Every man fights weariness. Paul warns us of the Achilles heel of a man, and why we fight weariness in well doing.

We tend to blame our weariness on the Devil, Satan, or the Evil One. Humanity seems to always need a place to put blame. While demonic forces are at work and are to blame for an abundance of attacks and problems, not all are brought on by the enemy.

If we would be honest with ourselves, often it was our own well doing that unraveled us. Doing well is not predicated on the circumstance around us. Doing well is not a response to good, successful, positive, and prosperous conditions or circumstances.

Well doing is a lifestyle. It is the response of “right” no matter the situation; and usually there is only an audience of one that sees it, which is us.  Well doing is the action, reaction, and reply we have even when the winds are contrary to our life, business, or spiritual walk.

Paul, on more than one occasion, warns the church at Galatia of the enemy of “weary”. It strikes when you are doing well, or “well doing”.  I must admit, sometimes the hardest battle is doing well when others have given up, turned around, and dropped the ball.

Remember, the reward is not in joining the naysayers, the negative, destructive, damaging, harmful finger-pointing, vocal-railing, actions of quitters. The reward is in well doing. Even when it is not popular, it’s right.

Our prayer for you this week: May you have the power to continue doing well no matter the circumstance.
