It Is Finished

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

John 19:30

John penned three words that altered history and transformed the future. “IT IS FINISHED” shook the very foundation of creative history yet paved a new pathway for all of creation. This war of worship that had brought death to so many had now, through one, come to the point of no return when Jesus cried, “IT IS FINISHED!”

The very Creator of the world made Himself a body, temple, house of flesh, and manifest himself to man (1 Timothy 3:16). He came for one reason, to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10).

One of the greatest downfalls we have as believers is not moving on from situations, circumstances, and problems holding us back. Move on and take a chance on losing our Super Believer badge and walk away from this thing holding us up?

We have become married to situations that imprison us as believers, business owners, friends, pastors, and even spouses. How is it we constantly repeat the same actions, conversation, advice, and/or counseling, yet make no change? It seems as if we have become inebriated with failure, rendering ourselves helpless – all because we are not willing to be what Jesus was, FINISHED.

Transformation will never come as long as you are willing to keep rocking the same old baby. Until you are finished with generational curses, crutches, sticks, and staves, you will never live in victory. To be victorious, you have to be willing to be FINISHED and lay the past to rest, so all things can become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Some things will never change until you are FINISHED with them. Being FINISHED is not a sign of failure. It is actually a move of brilliance to salvage the future for all.

Our prayer for you this week: May God give you the courage to be more like Jesus and be finished with hindrances that are holding up everything.
