In May 1994, the Christian world was startled by the signing of an ecumenical agreement titled, “Evangelicals and Catholics Together: The Christian Mission in the Third Millennium.” Signers of the document included such names as Bill Bright, Chuck Colson, Pat Robertson, representatives from the Southern Baptist Convention, and other churches and denominations, including prominent Catholics. Pope John Paul II prophesied that there will be a unity of faith, and all religions will be worshipping together by the beginning of the third millennium.
